Study of the partial wave structure of π0η photoproduction on protons

Abstract Analysis of the partial wave structure of γ p → π 0 η p reaction is presented in the energy region from threshold up to the total center-of-mass energy W = 1.9 GeV . Angular distributions measured with the Crystal Ball/TAPS hermetic detector system at the Mainz Microtron MAMI are expanded in terms of spherical harmonics. The relation of the extracted moments to the partial wave structure of the reaction amplitude is discussed and compared with predictions from model calculations.

Anomalous wave structure in magnetized materials described by non-convex equations of state

Agraïments: Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (UCLA) 2012 program on "Computational Methods in High Energy Density Plasmas. We analyze the anomalous wave structure appearing in flow dynamics under the influence of magnetic field in materials described by non-ideal equations of state. We consider the system of magnetohydrodynamics equations closed by a general equation of state (EOS) and propose a complete spectral decomposition of the fluxes that allows us to derive an expression of the nonlinearity factor as the mathematical tool to determine the nature of the wave phenomena. Design of a 1 kW output power Folded Waveguide TWT operating in ka-band

A Ka-band Serpentine Folded Waveguide Travelling Wave Tube (TWT) has been designed. The imposed design parameters values in terms of high power, high load, wide bandwidth, low weight, along with a structure manufactured with planar technique or by means of a micro milling process, have been obtained. Small signal simulations have been carried out with an in-house software for interaction impedance evaluation. The commercial electromagnetic simulation code CST Suite has been used for dispersion diagram prediction.
